Beauty Tips

KEEP YOUR HAIR SHINY & HEALTHY

An easy way to obtain shiny healthy looking hair is by using some natural items that you can find in your kitchen pantry. Try my at-home treatment of mixing honey and olive oil into any conditioner, mix and apply to your hair. Microwave the mixture for ten to fifteen seconds and rub into hair and scalp. Let the mixture sit for ten to fifteen minutes and rinse as normal. Hair will be soft, moisturized and shiny.

COLOR TREATMENT

After having your hair color treated it is very important to properly care for your hair. The most important thing in terms of caring for color treated hair is moisture. Hair color/dyes tend to dry the hair follicles out and contribute to dry, brittle or damaged hair. Be sure to purchase products that are specifically labeled for color-treated hair. These products contain moisturizes that will help to smoothe and protect the hair shaft. Applying a mask to the hair will also benefit color treated hair. Most of these require the mask to be left on for 15-20 minutes, and rinse as normal. They penetrate the hair shaft leaving beautifully moisturized locks behind.

STYLE YOUR HAIR DAILY

The most important thing to remember when styling your hair is limit the use of heating tools to keep it healthy and damage free. Over applying heat to your hair too frequently can lead to dry, brittle and damaged hair. Instead use alternate ways to curl or straighten your hair. For curling: use flexirods to create your desired style. Another way to curl your hair without heat is to put your hair in pincurls or twist your hair into a bantu knot for flawless waves. To straighten your hair, try wrapping it at night instead of using flat irons.
